What a show weekend!

In the end of May we drove all the way to the other side of the coutry to take part to two dog shows in one weekend. On saturday it was a group show for herding breeds and on sunday it was the specialty show for Pyrenean Sheepdogs. We had two very much respected judges, on saturday our dogs were judged by Mr Salvatore Giannone and on sunday our judge was the chairman of the French breed club, Mr Alain Pecoult. We also had a good amount of dogs in the ring, on saturday there were 36 dogs entered and on sunday 46 dogs.

I am still trying to recover from the success that team Entre Nous had, it was overwhelming.

On both days the BOB was "Joli", FI CH JW-10 Entre Nous Joli-Bois-Bleue and she was also BIS2 in the specialty.

My own boy "Merlin", FI CH HeJW-11 JW-11 did so well being BM2 on saturday and BOS on sunday.  "Sisu", FI CH JW-09 Entre Nous Icaquier Doux did also great placing BM4 on saturday and BM3 on sunday. "Titi-Uu", FI CH EE CH LV CH HeW-10 W-10 EEW-10 BALTW-10 Entre Nous Incarvillée got excellent on both days and  "Vissa" FI CH JW-11 Entre Nous Camomille Bleue had "VG" on saturday and EXC on sunday. Ronja, Entre Nous Herbe de Feu got also VG on saturday and did very well on sunday receiving EXC and placing in the open class out of nine females. Young "Skip", Entre Nous Merde du Diable along with many other dogs, was told to be too small and got "good" on both days.

It is a rare chance for me to show a breeder class while my dogs are living in very different sides of the country. This time it was possible thanks to you wonderful owners of my dogs! And what a result: on saturday our Entre Nous breeding class was BOB and BIS3 and on sunday BOB and BIS2! The group consisted of four dogs: Joli, Titi-uu, Sisu ja Merlin.Thank you again everyone for a wonderful day, it was also so great to meet you breeding owners and your dogs that weren't shown, but popped by to meet us.

Here are some pictures, many thanks to Nora Grönlund and Jaana Viinikka!

A small black package of joy

May I introduce, the new memeber of the team Entre Nous, a lively and wild black boy Iseste de Loubajac, aka "Riemu". Riemu means something like "overwhelming joy" and this boy is absolutely worth his call name. Thank you Catherine de Neckere-Tomballe for this happyand lively little boy!
Merci Catherine pour ce chiot heureux et absolument merveilleux!

Portraits of Zotzot pups

The puppies of Zotzot and Fajou are soon going to move to their own homes as they are already 8 weeks old tomorrow. Because the writer of this blog is somewhat slow, here are the pictures of the gang at the age of six weeks. They also have their official names and their becoming families have decided new call names as well.

Entre Nous Noix de Muscade, "Pähkinä".

Entre Nous Noix Magique, "Onni".

Puppies, puppies, puppies...

Zotzot had her puppies in the beginning of May: two merle girls and two black boys, all well and gaining weight. They also seem to have homes already.

Joli (Entre Nous Joli-Bois Bleue) also finally came into season and met her fiancee Fajou (Fajou de Loubajac) under the lucky stars. There will be hopefully puppies born at the end of the first week of July.

Here are some pictures, first some new and lovely ones of Joli taken by Nora Grönlund and then some of Zotzot's puppies at the age of six days.

At last - some updates

Uhhh, it has been five months since I last bothered to update my blog. I feel ashamed. The life has just been passing by without any major incidents, unless the mating of Zotzot is counted as such. She started her season before Joli that was originally planned to be mated first, so Zotzot had her chance. She met Fajou under the lucky stars and soon after Eastern holidays she had her ultrasound showing at least five little embryous. She is expected to deliver her litter in the very beginning of May.
The becoming dad, Fajou, received his last CAC in Lappeenranta all breed Eastern show and qualified as Finnish show champion. Here is a recent picture of him:

Vissa (EN Camomille Bleue) and her owner Kati have been offering lots of heart warming news: Vissa gained her Finnish Champion title only one week after she turned two years old and was able to receive the title. Kati has also been handling her in agility so, that she already has two out of three results that will allowe her to compete in the third class. And if this wasn't already enough, they also took part in their first obedience test and received the first price. So well done, congratulations! Here is a picture of her, photo courtesy of Ulla Virtanen:

Going a bit more back in time... in December we were in the Finnish Winner of the year show in Helsinki. Lilli (EN l'Èpinette Noire), received the title Junior Winner -12. Congratulations Liisa and Penita. Here is a picture of her, taken by Ulla Virtanen:

My boy Merlin (EN Cumin des Prés) was also present in the ring, but he refused to show himself properly to the judge and had "only" very good. He however showed very nice trot. Thanks for the picture, Ulla Virtanen.

I love this picture, so need to show it to you too, here is Merlin in the snow (Photoshopped):

My warm congratulations also to Ronja (EN Herbe de Feu) and her owner Maria. They started the new year 2013 in the highest class in agility. Congrats!

The latest JRT puppies have been growing nicely, here is a collection of pictures - thanks to the owners for taking pics, contacting me and even visiting - it is so nice to hear from you all!
